Job Description :

Read Blueprints for testing specs, 

Testing 100% of the cylinders produced

Performs accurate and timely inspections required by QC Dept

Performs 1st, Every 5th part in process and last piece inspections

Identifies and separates all nonconforming parts

Tests an assembled cylinder, at a rate that meets or exceeds production standards

Performs all secondary operations and inspections and cleaning all parts produced

Accurately counts and packs finished parts neatly for transport to their next work station

Keeps area and equipment clean

Practices good work habits, including being productive, efficient, staying busy, being dependable, and cleaning/organizing work area

Is a productive member of his/her work group/department and adheres to all RMT, Inc. policies. This includes following all safety requirements/procedures, in order to ensure a safe working environment for all RMT, Inc. employees

Profile,Specific Training and Certification 

Able to handle minor trouble shooting problems and interpret a variety of verbal or written instructions.

Has a working understanding of basic math principles.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Able to take measurements to verify part conformance to the print.

basic mechanical aptitude with the various types of tools used in the testing process.

Communicates in English.

Can read/comprehend safety rules, equipment manuals, job sheets and blueprint notations in English.

Will have specific training for job responsibilities

Required Qualifications :

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions 

The position requires the ability to lift 70lbs.

Become familiar with plant layout

Employee is responsible to Group Leader and Shift Leader/Supervisor.

Employee may be mentored by an experienced employee as assigned by supervision

Employee is required to purchase basic tools as required by job responsibilities

Employee is expected to work full shifts with the possibility of some extra daily and or Saturday hours.

Commitment to high standards of workmanship, the production of quality products, and continuous quality improvement is an expectation of all RMT, Inc. Positions 

Equipment/Machinery Used

Primary equipment of the work area

Hoists, both manual and powered

Carts, baskets, boxes used in the transport of finished parts.

Standard tow motor.

Calipers and any other gauging required for the inspection of parts



To Assist in other areas of the plant as deemed by supervision

To alert your immediate supervisor of possible unsafe conditions or broken/neglected tooling and equipment.
