1st Shift Machine Operator
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES-A powder coater is a primary production job. Powder coater's operate the Shot Blaster, Powder Booth, the Ovens and fork lifts.As part of their duties,they are responsible for inspecting parts to verify the parts meet customer specifications.They are also responsible for cleaning, painting and keeping accurate counts for production andinventorypurposes.Theirdutiesincludekeepingthemachineandworkareaclean.
EDUCATION-While a high school diploma or equivalent is desired,it is not required for this position.Basic Math skills(such as addition,subtraction,multiplication,division,and percentages)are tested and considered as part of the hiring process. Basic computer skills are necessary.The applicant must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for hiring eligibility.
EXPERIENCE -No previous painting experience is necessary for this position.Previous work in a manufacturing environment and experience as a painter/powder coater is considered a plus.
TRAINING-On the job training will be provided. The training will include:

• Safety Rules and Programs
• Equipment Operation(Supervised by Qualified Operator)
• Paint Operator Instructions
• Quality Procedures Required for Painting
• Forklift Training
