Essential Duties:

Material Handling:

  • Make sure all materials are at the machines when needed.

  • Transportation of raw/WIP product between production processes.

  • Restock supply materials for machines.

  • Provide support to machine operators.

Required Qualifications :


  • Inspect and ship all outgoing products.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure adherence to job ticket specifications.

  • Communicate with Customer Experience Team on any immediate shipping concerns that may impact on-time delivery.

  • Assemble and submit all shipment paperwork neatly and in a timely manner.

  • Load all outbound trucks.

  • Schedule outbound freight appointments.

  • Create accurate Bill of Ladings for outgoing palletized shipments via the appropriate carrier.

  • Verify accuracy and condition of all outbound products.

  • Place all outgoing shipments on the dock in an organized manner pending pick-up.

  • Assemble and submit all shipment paperwork neatly and in a timely manner.


  • Unload all incoming shipments.

  • Verify accuracy and condition of all inbound product.

  • Maintain integrity of Receipt list files.

  • Accurately perform entry of all received packing slips in a timely manner.

  • Assemble and submit all receiving paperwork neatly and in a timely manner.

  • Notify Production Manager immediately of all damaged or erroneous shipments.

  • Ensure all incoming product is put away and all paperwork processed by days end.

  • Makes all appointments for inbound shipments through trucking lines.

  • Perform physical checks of all incoming shipments, verifying counts and ensuring product

  • Assemble and submit all receiving paperwork neatly and in a timely manner.

  • Maintain a neat and organized work area.

Inventory Movement:

  • Communicate material needs to purchasing, in a timely manner.

  • Maintain on-hand inventory of various shop supplies.

  • Verify inventory placement accuracy by performing physical inventory and cycle counts, as required. Prepare pallets for warehousing.

  • Place inventory into bulk pallet rack overflow.

  • Stock pallet locations daily by proactively pulling product and placing directly into the correct locations.

Miscellaneous & Back-up for other Areas:

  • Run production as needed.

  • Back-up and assist maintaining each piece of equipment used based on a Preventative Maintenance schedule.

  • Assist with inventory.

  • Perform daily safety inspection of the dock and receiving areas – reporting issues to Production Manager.

  • Monitor lifts for issues, reporting issues to Maintenance.

  • Empty all trash in area and maintain a clean, uncluttered, safe work area.

  • Interact with waste disposal company to confirm pickups.

  • Other duties as assigned by Production Manager.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to properly operate the following equipment: box truck, powered industrial truck, forklift, powered pallet jack, stretch wrap machine, bar code scanner, data entry terminal, thermal printer, Axapta, and electronic scale.

  • Strong knowledge of suppliers and carrier requirements.

  • Good decision-making skills, ability to plan and organize time & activities.

  • Ability to communicate and work with peers, customers, and management.

  • Strong math skills. Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vise versa.

  • Ability to work hours necessary to fulfill department needs, up to and including overtime.

  • Attention to detail

  • Self-motivated and ability to problem solve.


Training and Experience:

  • 1+ years experience

  • Valid drivers license with ability to travel between facilities.

  • Strong computer skills with ability to adapt to new and/or changing software systems.

  • High school diploma or GED


Physical Requirements:

  • Stooping, reaching, standing, walking.

  • Pushing and pulling.

  • Very heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or more than 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, such as paper rolls.

  • Ability to grasp small objects.

  • Talking, hearing, and repetitive motion and/or sound.

  • Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.

  • Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, climbing, and pneumatic drill.

  • Subject to atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system or the skin such as fumes and vapors.
