JOB FUNCTION:
To make all mold changes and color changes required within the designated cell
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Performs all mold changes and supports color changes, if needed, within the cell including robot set-up, line set-up, start-up of machines (WI09-165, WI09-166)
· Performs checks on presses and tooling at the beginning of the shift
· Troubleshooting and processing of machinery
· Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies; responsible for cleanliness of shop floor and work area
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
· Meet and/or reduce mold change times
· Assist supervisor in maintaining overall Cell OEE
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Keeps supervisor apprised of tooling needs
· May assist supervisor in directing the workforce
· May help conduct periodic inventory
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Forklift license
· Satisfactory work records, including attendance
· Basic knowledge of production machinery acquired at Kamco or elsewhere - at least six months’ injection molding experience. Prefer previous material handler experience.
· Ability to obtain a passport
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION:
· Ability to stand, climb a ladder onto machines, bending and stooping
· Mental alertness to procedures/changes and to call for assistance when needed
· Willingness to work overtime during the week and weekends when needed
· Ability to lift up to 60 pounds infrequently
