Grinding Lead

Time Staffing is currently seeking a Grinding Lead for 2hd shift.

1.  Help lead and  manage the grinding needs in the plant for 2nd shift.

2.   Get work order and clock into correct operation. 

3.  Check work order to see what size ball is needed.

4.    Acquire proper aluminum lapping wheel and install on machine.

5.    Load carbide semi-finished balls onto aluminum lapping wheel.

6.    Put lubricant and fine diamond paste onto aluminum lapping wheel and run machine to achieve precise, finished dimensions.

7.    Unload machine by removing balls and give to the Quality Department for final inspection.

8.  Be available to work any shift as you will be asked to float to different shifts during your initial probationary period.

Basic Qualifications Include: 

1.    Have previous grinding experience

2.     Ability to work at a fast pace

3.      Must be detail oriented

4.      Must be willing to keep area clean of residual slurry

5.      Must have basic micrometer experience or willing to learn

6.      Must have knowledge of basic mechanics

7.      Must have basic computer experience

8.      Must have good manual dexterity; with no restrictions on shoulder, wrist and arm movement

9.      Must be able to stand for long periods of time with regular breaks and lunch

10.   Must have good vision before or after corrective lenses or contacts

11.  Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds with the assistance of an overhead crane
