Job Description :
The HR Assistant is responsible for providing effective customer service and/or support at the front desk in the Human Resources Department. This position also performs all administrative/secretarial duties relating to personnel functions and programs, recruitment, payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.



Essential Job Functions:



  • Assisting employees with daily questions and concerns with regard to attendance and vacations;

  • Providing all administrative/secretarial support to the HR Team;

  • Prepare and track attendance disciplinary write ups;

  • Manage and track hourly vacation requests;

  • Generate daily responses to hours, points and vacation requests;

  • Maintaining hourly employee personal information, including data entry, and providing updates to employment status-change data, as necessary;

  • Report generation, as requested;

  • Managing and update Sr. HR Manager Outlook calendar; and

  • Filing, scanning, coping, drafting correspondence and all other administrative HR duties as needed and/or assigned.



 
Required Qualifications :
Qualifications:

 


  • 3-5 years customer service experience;

  • Experience working in a Union facility a plus;

  • Previous administrative assistant experience; and

  • Excellent communication skills


 

 

Education:

 


  • HS Diploma; and

  • Degree not required, but Associates or Certification in Administrative technologies, preferred.
