IT Technician

Computer Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Keep systems up-to-date through operating systems upgrades


• Troubleshoot technical issues and system errors


• Provide assistance and support on computer equipment operations, printer configurations, password and lock settings, and other technical issues


• Assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing support of new software and features


• Provide helpdesk support for computer issues as needed


• Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software


• Prepare software, computer setup, and network configuration for new users


• Collaborate with IT team to resolve problems


• Record and document issues and resolutions


• Perform data backups and perform all offsite tape rotations


• Install and update network system improvements as needed

Computer Technician Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in computer science, information technology, or a related field


• 1-3 years of previous experience in a manufacturing plant environment if possible


• In depth familiarity with various Windows applications including operating systems and Windows patching protocols


• Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, and upgrades


• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent analytical and organizational skills.


• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment as needed
