Machinist- 1st Shift
Time Staffing is currently seeking a 1st Shift CNC Machinist for a client in the area.
CNC Machinist can read Blueprints, and job travelers for part specifications, such as dimensions, and tooling instructions. Can set up and operate numerically controlled machines to cut, shape, or form metal work to pieces specification. Can review setup process sheets to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions. Can attach fixtures to machine bed, position tool holders, and insert cutting tools as specified by the process sheet, using clamps, bolts, hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Is competent in functions of designated machines. Is able to write, alter, and call programs over from the process sheets. Can manipulate controls to specified points to start the machining process and can observe/listen to machine operations to detect malfunctions in tooling or the machine.

Basic Qualifications Include:
Must be able to pass initial interview process:
Able to Handle major troubleshooting problems and interpret a variety of verbal and written instructions.
Has a working understanding of basic math principles, including basic geometry
Understands programming codes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Able to take measurements to verify part conformance to the print
Mechanical aptitude with the various types of tools used in the machining process.
Can read/comprehend safety rules, equipment manuals, job sheets, and blueprint notations
Can distinguish equipment generated sounds
Performs job duties with limited supervision
Will have specific training for job responsibilities, with advanced setup and machine operation
Process monitoring techniques as determined by the supervisor
Ability to calculate feeds and speeds
