Operations Manager

Job Description

Growing Insurance Agency looking for a detail-oriented Operations Manager interested in a long-term career in a position that is critical to the continued growth of the Agency!


The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the agency, such as but not limited to:

1.      Answer incoming calls (2 lines currently) and walk in traffic from clients and prospects.

2.      Schedule appointments for agency agents via google calendars

3.      Submit applications electronically through the carrier portals and monitor their approval status

4.      Daily reporting from the CRM system on all applications and their current approval status, as well as any requested reports

5.      Maintain the agency CRM system for all clients and upcoming activities

6.      Maintain records and renewals of all licensing, E & O, and accreditations for agency and agents

7.      Oversee the onboarding of new agents including carrier contracting

8.      Assist with the creation of marketing collaterals such as print, radio, billboards and other activities as assigned.

9.      Post content on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

10.  Supervise the daily tasks and operations of an Administrative Assistant

11.  Miscellaneous bank deposits as needed, recorded, and submit to agency bookkeeper

12.  Policy procedures manual creation and ongoing maintenance

Required Qualifications :

1.      Must be able to work additional hours during open enrollment period (O.E.P) of October 1 - December 7

2.      Ability to prepare various PowerPoint presentations

3.      Technology savvy: ability to create electronic newsletters and maintain and enhance the agency’s website

4.      Organization skills:  ability to plan and coordinate community events

5.      Excellent written and verbal communication skills
