Job Description :
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Understand and practice safety environmental rules
- Set-up and shut down machine or department
- Requisition and dispatch material to and from inventory.
- Monitor and control machine operations, change or correct settings to keep operations within specifications and run at target rate
- Understand product specifications and perform tests and inspections to keep product within specifications. Use and maintain gages and measuring devices
- Identify potential non-conforming products and ensure proper disposition
- Identify and label product and material correctly
- Store product properly with appropriate identification
- Preventative maintenance
- Housekeeping
- Daily paperwork and record keeping
- Is responsible for:
1. Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions
2. Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to Shift Supervisor/QC.
3. Controlling nonconforming products
4. Supporting implementation of corrective/preventive and improvement actions

Required Qualifications :
Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
Ability to bend, twist, reach, squat/kneel, lift up to 70 lbs. and maneuver and roll reels of steel using appropriate assisting devices.
Basic Math Skills
Preferred machine operator experience
